Rhythm Bandits

"Rhythm Bandits" is a song by Danish band Junior Senior. It was released as the second single from their debut album ''D-D-Don't Don't Stop the Beat'' in the United Kingdom and Australia in 2003, but failed to match the success of previous single "Move Your Feet", although did have a following at the time of its release. For whatever reason, the band did not release the popular song "Shake Your Coconuts" as a single in the UK, though it was planned as the third single.
Although the song did clamber into the charts, peaking at number 22 in the UK and number 47 in Australia, it served as the epitaph for Junior Senior, who tumbled into obscurity in the UK thereafter, causing their album ''Hey Hey My My Yo Yo'' to not be released in the UK, a fact which angered their fanbase.
The single mix of "Rhythm Bandits" is quite different from the album version (which is quite beat-based), and is arranged into more of a surf rock style.
It is included in the soundtrack to ''FIFA Football 2004''.
